The Big Ben is the most famous clock in London. Built in 1859 in the Tower, recently called Elisabeth, forms part of the Westminster Palace.

The Westminster Palace is of Neogothic style. The stone used in the facade and ornaments was a limestone of honey colour. The stone had to be preserved and substituted several times due to the bad effect of the pollution on it.
